In the final, the Czech also defeated another Finn, Tapiola Taekwondo's Jenna Partanen, and thus secured the series victory.

The open day for taekwondo athletes was a success. There were a lot of people, especially children. Taekwondo interested me more than before, as expected. The club is increasingly well-known in the region, and the increased visibility of the sport with the Olympics didn't hurt at all. There were enough enthusiastic people for all the training sessions, and there was also enough activity between the training sessions.
Free training months were won by the following lucky people:
Mårten Jakobbsen
Niilo Pajoja
Tiina Räsänen
Good luck to the winners!
24 lollipops were distributed in the kicking competition.
The contribution of taekwondo athletes at the Taekwondo Festival held in Turku over the weekend was strong. Petteri Kauppinen was part of a distinguished group of directors, whose most famous name was the Korean grandmaster Kang. The other instructors were master Mun, Jesus Ramal and Suvi Mikkonen.
The gala organized on Sunday also featured a team competition, which TU11 won with the team of Hilla Palvianen, Jenna Partanen (Tapiola Taekwondo Hwang), Mika Koistinen, Elom Damalie and Juho Ranta.
In the autumn season, the training calendar will be even more condensed, when more advanced children and young people will also have their own separate groups.
The last indoor competitions of the summer season will take place right after the Olympics on August 14, 2012. Children and young people compete at 17-19, and adults at 19-21. Between the youth and adult matches, you have the opportunity to watch Suvi Mikkonen, Finland's only taekwondo Olympic representative, at the Olympic Games with a group!
Three sections were covered in the summer training seminar. On the sports field, we went through running, jumping and throwing, in the weight room various squats, grabs and parallel pull-ups, and in the taekwondo gym body control, rubber band training and mobility training. The pace was quite brisk and individual movements were tried only briefly.
Thanks to all participants. We hope for feedback and promise that we will continue in the fall.
Children under 16 17.00-19.00
Over 16 years old 19.00-21.00
Taekwondo athletes organize indoor competitions on Tuesday 19 June 2012. In indoor competitions, everyone can agree on their match partner and possible main contact with each other, so there is no participation threshold. There is a central referee in the matches and the points are counted as in real competitions.
The competitions start with children's (under 16) matches at 17:00 and around 19:00 we move on to the adult matches. Indoor competitions are free for TU11 members and Coaching Center athletes, the price for others is 10 euros. Indoor competitions replace the normal exercises on Tuesday.
In the indoor competition, you can order the necessary protections for the competition (not mandatory, except for mouth guards / €6 and bottom guards / €22). If you don't have protectors, the club will lend them to the race.
