The practices of the adult elementary group and advanced group have been canceled from this week's Friday at 19:00-20:00 due to the arrangements for the league finals. The Juniors' practices earlier than this will be held normally.

As autumn begins to turn into winter, the evenings have darkened again. Please remember that a lot of children and young people move around the gym during training, so you should be especially careful when driving. Especially the corner next to the door of the hall can be a place of danger if a child speeds into the driveway. Also instruct children to move carefully and use a reflector.
If you come to practice by car, avoid parking next to the walls in the narrow space between the buildings. In the event of emergency situations, emergency vehicles must be able to move freely in the area.
Have a safe fall!

Taekwondo athletes end-of-autumn bulletin
Autumn has already come a long way, and even the last summer vacationers have returned to the gym. The groups have been packed night after night. In the case of junior enthusiasts, we switched to group division according to belt values in the early fall. If someone is still wondering which group they should train in, here's a guide: Everyone who started the sport in the summer or fall trains in the Beginners group. The advanced group is intended for all yellow-belts, and the advanced group is for green belts and up. 3-6 year olds still train on Mondays and Wednesdays in two groups. Group sharing can be flexible due to overlapping expenses or to facilitate shared rides.
The autumn competition calendar looks pretty full, both in terms of indoor competitions and national competitions. Indoor competitions are a great way to try competing in a familiar environment at the Konala gym. Taekwondo athletes recommend everyone to buy their own protection from the club's equipment sales point and to try it out without prejudice, also for national competitions.

Change in practice times
The morning exercise is removed from the selection
The popularity of taekwondo athletes' morning practice has varied a lot over the years, and over the past year the number of visitors has shrunk to a very small number. Because of this, the morning workout is removed from the selection.
The last morning workout was held on October 1, 2014 with two people. Taekwondo athletes would like to thank all morning volunteers who attended morning training during these first three years.

The next time we go to Porvoo for the medal hunt on October 10-11.

September's gym competition report
September's gym competition report
The autumn 2014 indoor competition season for taekwondo athletes is now open. The first race was held on 12.9. on Friday. Juniors and adults were there to fill the room, and the matches continued until nine. A great mood and atmosphere prevailed in the hall until late in the evening.
It was also very nice to see Tapiola's fighters measuring their skills on Konala's mats. As usual, Porvoo, Loviisa and Riihimäki were also represented. Thanks to the guest stars only.
Now, as a new thing, pumse was also included in the indoor competitions. Four brave competitors were making pums. There was no actual competition yet, but the contestants received feedback and an assessment of their own performance.
The next races will be held on Friday 10.10. The hall wasn't quite full yet, so everyone was excited to join in!
Below are more statistics from this year's indoor competitions.
Good mood at the baby gym

On Monday, we happily practiced taekwondo with the babies again. During the training, muscles were strengthened, basic technique was reviewed, shoulders and back were taken care of, and above all - fun was had. The group can accommodate a couple of baby gymnasts to take care of their body holistically. There are still 12 practice sessions left. Welcome!

Guarantee
26 eager children and young people were able to practice taekwondo under the guidance of Paul and Tanja at the wondour players' summer camp. There were training sessions twice a day, and in them we delved into changing themes ranging from acrobatics to matches and from movement sequences to self-defense. Some of the riders got a fast-paced first contact with the sport. Between workouts, we spent time outdoors and excited about Kung-fu Panda's adventures. A tasty lunch was eaten at the lunch table of the cafe Corelli, and additional energy was refueled in the afternoon with a snack. Taekwondo athletes thank all campers.
