Covers, tapes and supports
Hard training requires additional protection. Here are a few product tips that I have aimed at national team-level athletes.
Protections
You should put sock-like protectors on your legs and arms underneath, which can be ordered separately by sending an email info@prodobok.fi

Then put on something more stable, put the bunkers in your hands https://www.proteceuro.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=226&language=en

And for the legs, either Ikara's lighter or SMAI's heavier protections. SMAI's protections can also be ordered by mail info@prodobok.fi, but you can get Ikarat from the online store https://www.prodobok.fi/tuote/ikara-saari-ja-jalkapoytasuoja/

You can put it in your hands copper, bag-, or boxing gloves. Examples from Stadium, but it's worth checking e.g. XXL's, Budget Sport or Tokmanni selections, in the last e.g. nice pink Everlasts. In gloves, you should prefer 10 oz. or lighter gloves.

It is good to get sturdy protection for knees and elbows, thinner ones or thicker. Examples again from Stadium, but you can get them from other places too.
Tapes
For daily taping, you should use cheap tape. Biltema's tape is good enough for daily needs.
In competitions, you should prefer quality, for example Leukotape's basic sports tape is good. A plumper option can be found at Rehband. You should prefer a width of approx. 3.5 centimeters (also 3.75 or 3.8 cm), because it is easy to handle and still gives a sturdy taping.
Use Leukoplast Fixomull or cheaper pre-wrap tape which is therefore often thin superlon in practice.
At camps, you should have an ideal bandage and a support bandage and, of course, plasters. You can find it at the pharmacy, but the frugal also looks of prisms and Citymarkets lower floors. Lidl's water-resistant patch is a thrifty athlete's friend, although not always available. You should also grab quick-cooling bags from the markets, in your own gym you can use bags of sweet corn and pepper, which you pack in a plastic bag, tape it and put it in the freezer.

Supports
It's not worth saving on subsidies. Or Rehband is a good starting point, too From the stadium. If you just want light neoprene protectors under the taping, you should look at cheaper ones, just the market stuff will do. If the problem is really significant, support should always be discussed with a competent physiotherapist. Matti Kauppinen is the best, although not the cheapest option.
Maintenance
The best maintenance for all shelters is ventilation. Even the transportation should be carried out in an online bag. Thrifty makes small cloth bags to put things in silicone cat litter, these absorb moisture from the equipment. There is also, for example, deodorant bags and sprays. However, they do not replace drying and ventilation.

Super fun and developing things to do for the summer weeks
The super popular summer camps for taekwondo athletes will be organized this summer as well. The first camp starts right after school ends, and the second one takes place right at the end of the summer vacation.
- camp 5.-9.6.
- camp 12.-16.6.
- camp 7.-9.8.
The official program of the camp day is between 10 and 15:30, but you can be there under supervision from 9 to 17.
Who is summer camp suitable for?
The camp is suitable for all children aged 6-14, whether they have a hobby background or not. First-timers get to know the basics of taekwondo, while for the more experienced there are various additional challenges.
What do we do at summer camp?
Of course, taekwondo is practiced at the summer camp, but there is much more fun to be had in the camp days. In addition to two daily taekwondo trainings, the campers go outside, do crafts, play, play physical games, watch movies and above all have fun together.
Who coaches at the summer camp?
Professional trainers of Taekwondo athletes and the necessary number of assistant instructors act as coaches at the camp.
What does the summer camp cost?
The price of the first and second camp is 150€ and the third is 100€. You can register for both June camps for a total price of €250. In addition to the camp, the price includes lunch at the lunch restaurant and a snack in the afternoon.
Where is the summer camp held
The camp will be held at the Taekwondo athletes' hall at Ristipellontie 14, 00390, Helsinki.
How do you register for the summer camp?
You can register directly by filling out the form below. Act quickly as places are limited at both camps. 19.5. until (camps 1&2) or 19.7. (camp 3).
Welcome to the indoor competitions on Sat 25.3., Sat 22.4 and Sat 27.5. from 11:00 a.m. 15:00!
Salikisa is intended for everyone who wants matches. Points are calculated manually "old-school", so electric socks are not necessary. The event is also perfect for those who have no previous experience in match racing.
The gym competition costs €10 per day. You can also register for all three races at once, in which case the fee is €20. We invoice after the race. Registration is binding and can only be canceled with a medical certificate.
You can also register on the spot, but in that case we will add a €7 late registration fee to the invoice. Payment methods are cash, mobilepay or invoice.

PM races 2023, day 1
The Nordic championships will be held this time in Helsinki, on the Urhea campus on Mäkelänrinte. On the first day, the program included matches, tomorrow, Sunday 22.1. next are the business series.
Adults
In adults, TU11 was represented by 3 athletes, resulting in two gold and one silver.
Chahrazed Boughrara (F -73)
Chahra fought in a bigger weight class than usual because there were no opponents for his own. Estonia's Kai Laatsperä and Saara Rintamaa in the final didn't have much to say about the matches that Chahra dominated with an iron grip. Both matches ended 2-0. Nordic championship for Chahra.
Bardia Mirzaei (M -80kg)
Due to the small size of the series, Bardia had a direct place in the finals. In the only match, Iceland's Bjorn Joel Bjorgvinsson was the perfect opponent in the set 2-0. So, gold for Bardia.
Juuli Mankonen
Juuli won his first match by clear numbers. The opposing Norwegian Cecilie Ruiz Fonn fell 2-0. In the finals, we saw a repeat of the championships when Juuli faced Turku's Ida Tammila. Unfortunately, Ida was better this time as well and Juuli won silver.
Juniors
Markus Liuko 1.
Teemu Takala 5.-8.
Cadets
Milay Endah 1.
Isabella Anttila 1.
Peetu Hartikainen 1.
