Taekwondo athletes summer camp 2024

Great fun and developing things to do in the summer

The super popular summer camp for taekwondo athletes will be organized this summer as well. The camp starts right after school ends and lasts the whole week. Camp days are therefore Monday-Friday, 3.-7.6.

The official program of the camp day is between 10 and 15:30, but you can be there under supervision from 9 to 17. 

Who is summer camp suitable for? 

The camp is suitable for all children aged 6-14, whether they have a hobby background or not. First-timers get to know the basics of taekwondo, while for the more experienced there are various additional challenges. 

What do we do at summer camp? 

Of course, taekwondo is practiced at the summer camp, but there is much more fun to be had in the camp days. In addition to two daily taekwondo trainings, the campers go outside, do crafts, play, play physical games, watch movies and above all have fun together. 

Who coaches at the summer camp? 

Professional trainers of Taekwondo athletes and the necessary number of assistant instructors act as coaches at the camp. 

What does the summer camp cost?

The price of the camp is €150. In addition to the camp, the price includes lunch and a snack in the afternoon. 

Where is the summer camp held 

The camp will be held at the Taekwondo athletes' hall at Ristipellontie 14, 00390, Helsinki.

    Indoor competitions on Friday 26.4.

    The next indoor competitions will be held on Friday 26.4. You can join without registration and the gym race is our free amateur race.

    People outside the club are also welcome, and we ask for a cash or Mobile Pay donation to our coffee fund.

    Indoor competitions belong to the training of all enthusiasts and are an important part of growing towards a black belt and beyond.

    Indoor competitions are a mandatory part of training for those training with a competition contract, either as participants or as officials. We hope for a lot of participation!

    Used equipment for Senegal

    Do you have small or useless taekwondo equipment in your closet? Now you can donate them to Senegal for the joy of children and young people. The collection box is located next to the counter and you can put intact and clean equipment and costumes there. The equipment collection will be carried out on April 21-26.

    Urlus Foundation's support for underprivileged children and young people

    When a child or young person signs their first contract, they can apply for a 50% fee reduction from the support of the Urlus foundation. Write a free-form application in which you briefly describe the nature of the financial challenges and send it to the address info@tu11.fi. Title the application "Urlus support". The application must include the name of the applicant and the name of the dependent hobbyist for whom support is applied for.

    The support is paid in the amount of the grant granted to the entire club.

    We are celebrating the traditional friend week from 6 to 10 May! You can come to practice with your friend all week. And if the guy makes a deal, you both get 1 month of training for free. The free month is added to the end of your current contract.

    Dream Sports Day is celebrated on 10.5. Our club is involved by opening the training for everyone who wants to try taekwondo!

    Spring day 4.5.

    We celebrate the traditional spring day on May 4, 2024! We invite all enthusiasts and their families to spend time together with awards and coffee. At the same time, we go over the past year a bit, hold an annual meeting and, of course, train together!

    Program:

    10.00-11.00 | The club's spring meeting 

    11.00-12.30 | Joint workouts for both enthusiasts and their loved ones

    13.00-15.00 | Chairman's greeting and awards, coffee and snacks

    15.00-16.00 | Free time together and hanging out in the hall. Employees and coaches on site to discuss.

    19.00- Evening party for adults

    Club members (=those who have paid the hobby fee) who have registered for the meeting using the link below are entitled to vote at the annual meeting. You can of course not register there.

      The business series athletes in particular excelled in Loviisa

      The traditional Loviisa Open took place on April 6, 2024. Both match and business series competitions were included. Especially our club's business series athletes brought a solid catch with them!

      Business series - league

      The table was cleared in the league, so to speak. One of the highlights is Sofia Sarala's silver, which is her best ranking so far. in the series.

      Female U40: Laura Kinnunen 1st.
      Female O50: Marita Jaakkola 1st, Kirsimarja Raiatasalo 2nd.

      The number of participants in the match league remained minimal, partly due to illnesses.

      Business series enthusiasts included Essia and Anna Vuokila, who also took advantage of the joy and the brightest medals from the tournament!

      Match – enthusiasts

      Enthusiasm and the joy of doing things were seen in the amateur series of the match, and the results came!

      E1 girls -30 kg: Isabella Heinänen 1st.
      D2 girls -33 kg: Venla Kuparinen 1st.

      Hall closed on Easter 29.3.-1.4.2024

      The hall is closed on public holidays. There are no practices on Good Friday, March 29 and Easter Day 1 and 2 (February 31 and April 1). Happy Easter!
