Taekwondo athletes 2011 turns ten years old

Taekwondo athletes turn ten years old in August. Due to the current situation, bigger celebrations will have to be postponed until next year, when we will celebrate under the theme TU11 – 11 years of taekwondo in the best company. However, we will celebrate the anniversary among the club with training and little Christmas parties on Saturday 27.11. - if the corona situation allows.

The exact time of the birthday is a bit of a matter of definition. The association's charter is dated 9 August 2011. However, renovations were already done throughout the summer and the first exercises in the new gym were sweated out on August 23. The opening ceremony was held on September 3-4. and from then on the practice has continued uninterrupted until today.

How do you get to the belt exams?

You can get to the belt exams by collecting enough practice marks from the previous belt exam. We calculate training visits based on recorded workouts, so remember to log your exercise every time you go to the gym.

The prerequisite for entering the exam is also that you know the things required in the exam at a sufficient level and follow the rules of conduct in the gym during the exercises.

You do not need to register for the exam in advance. However, please let us know if you are not going to participate in the exam after receiving the invitation.

What is required in the belt test?

In the belt exam, you need to know the technical requirements of the exam and the sets of movements. The requirements of the previous exams also still have to be mastered. You can find the technical requirements in the training instructions on the hall wall.

We are currently updating the belt test requirements. After the update work, they will also be available in electronic form.

How should you prepare for the exams?

The best preparation for the exam is to attend training actively and versatile. For example, enthusiasts who emphasize match training should also attend basic training from time to time, and correspondingly, those training in basic hobby groups should deepen their skills in the form of match training and movement sets.

Movement sets should be practiced especially well, because they gather almost all the techniques required in the exam and embody the ability of the enthusiast to rhythm the techniques and generate strength in them. After learning a new movement sequence, repeat it as much as possible.

In the weeks before the exam, movement sets are also repeated more than usual in training.

What does the exam cost and how is it billed?

You can find our belt test price list:

https://tu11.fi/taekwondo/hinnasto/vyokoehinnasto/

We will invoice you for the exam by email after the exam.

Dreams come true! Support for hobbies.

TU11 is involved as a service provider Unelmista.fi platform. Through it you can apply for support for your hobby.

SOS-Children's village's Dreams come true hobby support

SOS-Lapsikylä supports families in challenging life situations with the costs of their children's hobbies. Hobby support is aimed especially at children and young people (ages 7–17) for whom starting or continuing a hobby would not otherwise be possible. The hobby subsidy reduces the inequality and exclusion of children and young people from disadvantaged families in their leisure time.

Support can be granted for the participation fees of guided and regular hobbies. Primarily, support is granted to applications received through the school curator or family social worker and, if possible, also to applications made independently by the family. More information about the hobby at: www.unelmista.fi and unelmista@sos-lapsikyla.fi

Unelmista.fi is a part of SOS-Lapsikylä ry's activities and its development has been financed with the proceeds of Veikkaus.

OLYMPICS!

The taekwondo Olympic tournament will take place from July 24 to July 27. The tournament has therefore been moved from its traditional place from the end of the Games to the beginning of the Games.

The easiest way is to follow the entire tournament on the Discovery+ service, which at least with Elisa is part of the Eurosport package. You can get it separately from the service's website.

If you have a VPN, yes BBC offers perhaps the best set of Olympians, especially with the British included over three days.

A small warning, if you plan to watch the races from beginning to end live, you must wake up early, the broadcast of the morning session starts at 3:55 and continues until 11:03. Evening session 12:55-16:33.

That's about 40 hours of taekwondo celebration! You can read the presets at https://tu11.fi/taekwondo/2021/07/olympiaennakko/.

Schedules, match times and results service at https://olympics.com/tokyo-2020/olympic-games/en/results/taekwondo/olympic-schedule-and-results.htm.
