Jenna Partanen and Eddie Quinones were responsible for TU11's medals at the G1 tournament held in Riga on October 8 and 9. In addition, Sara took bronze in the children's tournament organized in connection with the competition.
Jenna competed on Saturday and initially faced the Russian Nadezha Glyshko. The match went under Jenna's control and ended 7-4. Next in the round, the familiar Polish Ulfig Jagoda met. With the new match concept, the result of an even match was 7-1 for the Pole, but Jenna was able to do the right things nicely. When the system can be run in completely, the Pole is also in trouble.
Eddie Quinones competed in the cadet boys' -61 kg category. He had a straight final that might not have been Eddie's best but was enough for a 3-2 win. The medal cabinet is handsome, because within a year Eddie has won 2 G1 races and was once silver.
Luca, Sara, Severi, Teemu and Tuikku missed the first round this time.
