Teemu suffered a defeat in his opening match against Slovenian Ivan Trajcovicile with a score of 7-2. The Slovenian got silver, losing to Italy's Leonard Basile with 7-6 points.
Juho Kostiainen took a sure victory over his Ukrainian opponent in the first round in the men's category under 74 kg.
In the second round, the Russian Aliaskhab Sirazhov, who won the whole competition, won the match with 4-15.
In the opening match, Simo Siltanen (men under 68 kilos) faced a very experienced representative of Croatia, who did not give the Finn much of a chance. Filip Gricic won the opening match 20-3 and continued until the silver.
Overall, the team's performance was quite modest. Only Sami and Toni Lahtinen's good opening matches gave the team hope for better, but in the future their inexperience prevented them from going further.
Teemu is the pre-favorite of the series Miehet +87.
Teemu will fight already on Thursday.
Taekwondo athletes have a strong representation in the Finnish European Championship team. The tournament will take place in Manchester from 3 to 6 May.
Teemu Heino, men over 87 kilos
Teemu will fight already on Thursday. 3.5.
Teemu's preparation has gone smoothly. Fitness has been maintained and some sports training is also on the schedule. The goal in the competition is to have good matches and a medal is also in mind.
Juho Kostiainen, men under 74 kilos Juho will compete on the final day of the tournament, Sunday 6 May.
Juho is in great physical shape, and fighting at a higher level than the normal series makes it easier to prepare. In Serbia last year, the match went well even in a bigger series. Mitalia goes after Juhok.
In addition, Juho Ranta as the team's physiotherapist and Sampo Pajulampi as the manager are going on the trip with our club.

Sophia on the move
Feka Vokker, Cadet boys -53kg
Vokker's match was interrupted in the second set due to a mistake made by the opponent. The contact of the opponent's head kick was too hard and thus the match was awarded to Voker. Voker was not allowed to continue competing and he got silver to take home.
Palvianen Hilla, B1-League (B1T) 59-63kg Palvianen Hilla, Match League (N) 62-67kg
Hilla took silver in both sets. The legs were heavy after the initial laps. Although the match went moderately well, the gas was not enough for series victories.
Kauppinen Petteri, Match League (M) 74-80kg Petteri didn't fight.
Ranta Juho, Match League (M) 80-87kg
Juho won both his matches. In the final, a little carelessness took the match to overtime, which Juho won relatively easily.
Heino Teemu, Match League (M) +87kg Teemu routinely won his series. The match was a bit cautious because next week there will be taekwondo EC competitions, where Teemu will represent Finland. Röyttä Emilia, D2 juniors
Emilia fought well in her first games, although match victories were still waiting for her. Bronze around the neck to go home. Saha Jaakko, Hobbyists (M) +80
Jaakko didn't fight due to illness.
Laukkanen Markus, +30 (M) +80
Markus took a tight match with his opponent from Tampere. The match was a steady grind and the scores were tight. After numerous warnings, the end result was a stinging 4-5 loss from Markus' point of view.
Thanks on behalf of the team to everyone who participated. Each of you helped in your own way. It's great to be part of a group that is ready to blow on one another.

The national competition season culminates in the spring in Nurmijärvi, where the 3rd competition of the league is held. There will be exciting matches and good going. The best way to get into the atmosphere is to participate yourself, but there is certainly enough entertainment for the whole day in the cheerleading squads as well.
The last day of registration is 18.4. so you still have time to participate.
