The Eura-Cup ended the business series ranking league 2019
In addition to the SC competitions of the match, the last competition of the business series ranking league was contested in Eura, and the club's athletes were certainly strongly represented. The coach in the games was Ville, whose report is here:
"A group of young poom chess competitors left for Eura from TU. The cadet girls' series consisted entirely of TU girls, with Aino winning the series. Unfortunately, Alex was without opponents in his series, because the hard moves seen from him would surely have brought success even in the big series. In junior boys, Eero won silver, losing to the gold medalist from Pori by only 0.06 points. Eero has become a standard face in Finland also in the freestyle side, where he once again made a great performance.
Alex and Aino from TU, and Eero Mudo with Lohja's Elvi Ollila competed in the under-17 doubles series. Silver for Eero and Elvi, bronze for Alex and Aino as series winners. In the official WT rules, cadets (12-14 years) and juniors (15-17 years) have their own series also in pairs and groups, but in the Finnish Games these are often combined to increase the size of the series. The group of cadet girls (Bella, Sofia, Vickan) also faced an older group of girls in the group series and got silver with great performances.
Noel and Luca made their competitive debuts in Eura, with Noel winning silver and Luca bronze in the individual series of the yellow-faced lynxes. They also competed in the pair series, where the performances were not quite enough for medals. In these series, Sofia and Aino also excelled on the bench.
At the end of the Eura Cup, the awards of the 2019 Ranking league were also distributed, where TU's medal positions were as follows:
