Start taekwondo in the best company!

Taekwondo - easy to start, even easier to get hooked

The autumn elementary groups of taekwondo athletes start 17.8. and you can come along at any time to the exercises of your peers. At the beginning, clothes suitable for indoor exercise and a drinking bottle under the armpit are enough equipment. You will receive a registration form on the spot and you can immediately start sweating in your first taekwondo training. Parents are allowed to stay and watch their children's training if they wish.

You can also visit the gym and practice 30.8. on the open day from 12:00 to 16:00. It is possible to start at any time during the fall, so it doesn't matter if you can't join in August.

We offer for all groups 2-week satisfaction guarantee, so you can get to know the sport and training at your leisure.

Almost all experimenters quickly become hooked on the versatile sport, which never ends with challenges and development paths. For one, increasing fitness and body control is a goal in itself, while another's aim is in the world of top sports. You should also not forget the new friends and super fun experiences that the hobby brings.

The address of our salon is Kruspellottie 1A, which is located at Ring 1 and Vihdintie Crossroads. Welcome aboard!

The training times for the autumn season come into force on Monday 17.8.

You can check the practice times in advance HERE >>

In the autumn calendar, there are groups for independent training starting from the age of 3, and in the family courses, even the younger ones can practice this together with their parents.

The age groups are divided into level groups according to the completed belt value. If you are not sure in which level group you should train, feel free to ask your coach. However, the level groups always train at the same time, so switching between groups is easy.

  2. Pack your training bag and head to the gym at Ristipellontie 1A

Welcome aboard!

Covid-19 is taken into account in the planning and implementation of exercises

The Covid-19 situation is better in Finland than in many other countries, but it is very important to continue to do everything we can to prevent the spread of the virus. During the summer, we have practiced according to separate instructions, which you can look at HERE >>

For the fall season, we will give detailed instructions separately on how enthusiasts and coaches should take the instructions and guidelines into account. The most important thing is that you never come to the gym in the slightest pain and wash your hands carefully with soap before and after the exercises.

We gained good experiences in the spring from the production of both video workouts and live workouts. In any case, more video trainings will be produced in the future and we are ready to move quickly to regularly holding live trainings again if the social situation so demands.

We hope that the autumn term can be carried out as planned. Taking into account the virus situation is the responsibility of every enthusiast and coach.

Thank you for all the actions you have shown so far to support club activities!

The racing season has started in Estonia.

The competition season opened on 11.7. in Kunda, Estonia. The outdoor competition had to be moved indoors due to weather conditions, but the competition was successfully completed. There were first timers as well as more experienced conkers.

The best performances of the day were seen from Noel Viitaniemi in the children's under 27 kg category, for which he brought home a gold medal. In addition, gold came from the business series competition.

Luca Lonka (children -33 kg) jumped nicely despite the tough opposition. Silver from both the match and the business series.

Tuure Silver (children 2, -36 kg) took part in his first competition and had an even, great match against a more experienced guy. In the match, attention is especially drawn to good distances and creative solutions in situations. This is good to continue.

Egor Osadchiy (children 2, +40) brought home the bronze after a hard fight.

Markus Liuko (cadets -37 kg) finished second in his only match. The match was good though. In addition, Markus did a creditable job helping the smaller ones warm up.

Venne Viitaniemi (cadets -45 kg) also suffered a defeat despite an even fight.

Plum Kopisto (junior -68 kg) and Juuli Mankonen (junior -44 kg) both had good matches, but both suffered defeat.

Overall, the opening of the competition season was quite modest in terms of results. Almost half a year's break from proper couples training was visible in everyone's expressions. On the other hand, the basic level is still strong and with a little polishing, the result column will look completely different.

Thanks to the whole team and especially to the parents, who took care of the travel arrangements creditably. Mari Lapinsalo coached creditably.

Deepen your skills - book a private lesson

In addition to basic exercises and additional exercises, Taekwondo athletes offer private lessons for enthusiasts who want to deepen their skills in a specific area effectively.

In a private lesson, the enthusiast and the coach focus closely on the training of a single area, and the enthusiast receives immediate and continuous feedback on their performance. Because of this, a lot of progress is made in just one hour. Private lessons are also held for two enthusiasts or small groups.

      Advantages of private lessons:

      • You can practice exactly the area in which you want to improve. E.g:
        • Match technique
        • A new range of motion or refining of range of motion
        • Basic technique and steps
        • Self-defense and step fights
        • Preparing for the belt exam
        • Physical training
        • Weight training
      • You will receive immediate and continuous feedback on your performance
      • You can arrange an hour flexibly according to your own schedule
      • Affordable price

This is how you book a private lesson

See the training time that suits you from the training calendar >>

We have set the times in the calendar when our coaches are available for private lessons, but you can suggest a time outside of these as well.

Send an email to info@tu11.fi.main.hoste.fi and book an hour. At the same time, tell us what subject you would like to practice and we will book a coach accordingly. You can also book a lesson directly from the trainers in the gym. Race team members can use Slack to book an hour.

You can still agree with the coach about the details. We will send the invoice an hour after that. Get a training mark for the belt tests.

Note! Please remember that we offer all children's competition group members a free private lesson in the summer, if the training contract was valid when the gym was closed in late spring.

      Rehearsals continue on June 1.

Taekwondo can also be started in the summer

The Covid-19 epidemic has shown signs of abating in Finland, and restrictions are gradually being eased and lifted. Taekwondo athletes will also return to the training activities organized in the gym right from the beginning of June.

We are all jointly responsible for ensuring that the epidemic does not start accelerating again in Finland. Precautions and anticipation are at the center of all training and activities in the gym.

Read more about measures and changes in training methods >>

For a couple of months now, we have been training with the help of video workouts and live broadcasts. It's nice to be able to start the actual exercises in the gym again.

Beginner groups and advanced groups train in the same groups during the summer, but the age group division remains unchanged. The workouts are designed so that new enthusiasts can easily join in, but there is also a challenge level for the more experienced. In addition, many types of additional training are available for enthusiasts who have more time.

      For new enthusiasts:

      1. Check the training times for your age group from the training calendar
      2. Pack clothes suitable for indoor exercise and a water bottle in a training bag and head out to the gym
      3. The coach will give you a registration form to fill out and give you practical instructions for getting started.
      4. Come along to your first training sessions. The exercises are designed so that even beginners can keep up with the pace.
      5. Feel free to try the hobby for two weeks before you decide to continue.

      For old enthusiasts:

      • Check the summer practice times.
      • In addition to the basic workouts, choose at least an additional workout / week aimed at your age group. The hardest trainers go through all possible exercises.
      • Also take a friend with you to the training!
      • If you paid the training fees for the time the gym is closed, you will get additional services free of charge this summer. Ask your coach for more information.
      • Please note that some of the training sessions are held outside in the summer
        • Children's outdoor training: meeting in the hall's lower hall. Equipment according to the weather. You don't have to be a dobok.
        • Hill training for adults: gathering at Malminkartano's waste hill at the bottom of the stairs. Equipment suitable for running.
        • Athletes' outdoor training will be announced separately Slack through.
