Taekwondo athletes 2011 | Taekwondo | Helsinki | Espoo | VantaaTuesday 19.5. With the help of Teemu Heino 5th Dan, Pauli Raivio 3rd Dan took the belt test from 68 test areas.
The Vykoks had a good attitude and the know-how was also on point! The club congratulates all those who have increased their belt rank.
On Wednesday, it's still children's turn (3-5 years old) and on Friday, adults. The Dan exams are coming up in July.

Spring is already far away and some of Espoo's sports shifts end this week. Below is information about Tapiola and Kalajärvi training and summer training opportunities.
As for Tapiola, the spring Monday, Thursday and Sunday practices ended on May 7. We still practice on Tuesdays throughout May and June. At Kalajärvi school, the club's training sessions ended on May 7, 2015. During the summer, Espoo enthusiasts are expected to actively participate in the training that takes place in Konala's main hall.
Indoor competitions will be held in the spring of 2015 for the last time on May 29, everyone is brave enough to compete in a playful manner together with agreed match pairs.
Practices in Konala will continue except for the two-week break in July (7/6-7/19). Tapiola's training fee includes one 10-card to the Konala gym. Tapiola trainees get the following 10-cards at half price. The 10-card is not included in the Kalajärvi training fee, but the residents of Kalajärvi can also buy ten-cards at half price, i.e. €39.90 / 10 training sessions.
Belt tests will also be organized for the Espoo enthusiasts in Konala mentioned at the end of this message as follows:
Participating in the belt exams requires a certain number of accumulated practice times since the previous belt exam, and because of this, not everyone can take part in the exam this time. However, the next opportunity for a belt exam comes quickly with the dawn of autumn, which means that by practicing in the summer, everyone has the opportunity to increase their belt value by the end of the summer at the latest.

The World Championships will be held in Chelyabinsk, Russia, from May 8 to 19, 2015. Teemu Heino will fight in the men's heavyweight division and Jenna Partanen in the women's under 67 kg division.
Jenna will fight on 14.5. and the first opponent is Egypt's Seham Elswalhy. Elsawalhy is the reigning African champion and represented his country in London.

Teemu will fight on 16.5. and will face Alisher Gulov from Tajikistan. Gulov is a two-time Asian Championship medalist (1st & 3rd) and London Olympic representative.

Essi Labart took bronze with her partner Olli Siltanen at the Danish Open. The competition took place in Kolding on May 9.
In the individual series, Essi reached the final and the final ranking was a nice 7th.
The gym for taekwondo athletes is closed on Happy Thursday 14.5.
The second belt exams of the spring will be held at the Konala gym on week 21. The exams also apply to Tapiola and Kalajärvi enthusiasts. The dates and times of the belt exams are as follows:
You can find the prices of belt tests from here. You can pay for the exam on the spot in cash or afterwards using the normal invoicing method.
Getting to the exams requires enough practice notes and months from the previous exam. The techniques and movement sequences used in the exercises must also be mastered in the exam. If you don't know which movement sequence or things you need to know in the exam, feel free to ask your instructor. Those who qualify for the belt test will be announced in the gym on the board next to the instructor's desk at the beginning of week 20 and in connection with the exercises. Make sure with your instructor that you know the necessary things. The most important thing in the exam, however, is hard work and the process of doing things.
In addition, participating in the belt tests requires a sport license from the Finnish Taekwondo Federation, which you can order for one year at a time from here.
