PM for info

According to preliminary information, the PM competitions will take place in Iceland on June 7-8, 2014. Advance information on the number of participants is needed to run the competitions. Please note that on the same weekend there is a G1 competition in Switzerland.

PM competitions have series for cadets (2000-2002), juniors (1997-1999) and adults (1984-1996). Possibly also series for +30 and +40-year-olds. 2 people/country can be nominated for each series. (The reason for the upper age limit for adults is unknown.)

Note! Cadets do not have a main contact. You cannot participate in two weight classes or age groups.

As in previous years, the 1st and 2nd placers of the previous SM competitions have been selected for the PM competitions. Priority is given to the series where the championship ranking has been obtained. This privilege is removed when the athlete changes weight or age category. If the chosen one does not accept the representative place, the place will be filled by the head coach's decision, taking into account the athlete's eligibility to compete at the PM level.

The 1st and 2nd placers of the 2013 SM must notify advance information about participation in the competitions and the series by THURSDAY 13.3. by e-mail eero.viinikainen@pp.inet.fi. If there are more than one representative from the same club, you are welcome to make announcements per club. Those who received other placements or those who wish to participate in PM competitions also register by the due date.

Now everyone takes care of their own card collection by registering on time (by March 13th), because the realization of the PM competitions is up to you.

TU11 strengthens its position in the vanguard of technology

Toisinaan harrastajilla on ollut hankaluuksia tietää, mistä saa helpoiten vastauksia ajankohtaisiin kysymyksiin. ”Milloin huominen leiri alkaa?” ”En ole netin äärellä, ja siellä on kuulemma tärkeää infoa huomisesta kisareissusta?”

Telephone machine
Now TU11 has also acquired a telephone

Now you can contact the club's phone for urgent questions,
045 1827290.

The phone is usually answered by Pauli, who is always up-to-date on the club's affairs, and if he doesn't know, he will find out.

Kaikki yhteystiedot löytyy sivun oikeasta laidasta Yhteystiedot-kohdasta.

We trained and had fun at the ski holiday camp

Ski holiday camp:

Taekwondo athletes practiced diligently twice a day at the ski vacation camp during the entire ski vacation week. The most diligent campers stayed kicking even during the evening exercises. Between workouts, we went for a treat at the lunch table of the cafe Corelli downstairs. There was still enough snow to get down to Kannelmäki. In addition, on Thursday we went to Kanneltalo to watch a movie.

Taekwondo athletes would like to thank all campers for a great week!

On a spring day, we trained, ate and were rewarded

Movement sets in training

The spring day started with poom training under Petter's guidance. After lunch, the trainees were divided into level groups led by Petteri, Pauli and Sampo. About 50 people participated in the training,

Lunch Korean style

Jari Seppälä and assistant chef Kostiainen prepared Bulgogi, which was served with Kimchi and rice. The vegetarian option was Thai curry. The lunch garnered praise, even though it was the first time Korean food was being tasted.

Rewarded

In the traditional way, I awarded the competitor of the year and the hobbyist of the year:

Player of the year: Tanja Lovikka
Fan of the Year: Sara Quinones

When explaining the criteria for awarding the prizes, Teemu stated that the choice was difficult because there are a large number of good fighters and enthusiastic enthusiasts in our club. Good luck to the winners!

The awards were preceded by Petter's short lecture on Taekwondo.

We had a sauna in the evening

In the evening, we took a sauna and enjoyed refreshments in the sauna of the competition hall under the banner of the Helsinki Open karonka. Some continued into the Helsinki night. TU11 would also like to thank the volunteers who couldn't make it to Kisahalli on Saturday.
