The business league team is deafeningly efficient in Lohja

16 medals from the first business series competitions of the season

Lohja Open 2017 opened the competition season of domestic business series on Saturday 11.3. The games had a record number of participants and a total of 32 series were played. Of these, Taekwondo athletes were represented in 13 series, 16 of which won a medal. Officially, the best team was not awarded, but it's hard to say better!

From the ranking series, Plum got bronze for cadet boys as well as under 17-parwith Mia from the Espoo Hwarang Team. Aino and Sara competed with a special permit in the cadet series much younger than the others, but it seemed that age doesn't matter much by grabbing a double win in the series. Gold for Aino and silver for Sara. Bronze for Aino, Sara and EHT's Mia from the under 17 group. Bronze for Christian in both the under 30 men and the elimination series.

In the yellow women, Maija took silver, a really great performance from a first-timer! The minion trio Bella, Victoria and Sofia roared both among amateur women and among the lynx in their own age group. Gold for Bella in green women, green lynxes, lynx couples with Victoria and amateur group with Victoria and Sofia. Victoria also took gold from blue ladies and blue lynxes. Sofia took her lynx series as a warm-up and saved the bangs for the amateurs, from which the silver came off right after Victoria's gold. Bella and Victoria disturbed even more in the pairs of upper belts by taking silver there as well. The wild results and the number of sets speak once again about the effectiveness of the coaching activities and the athletes' goal-oriented approach to training. So thank you to the poomsa coaches, athletes and supporters!

Essi and Petteri acted as coaches in the competition.

A group of young competitors of Taekwondo athletes camped in Madrid in a tough company. You can read about their struggles from here. The ceiling height of the own hall was also tested on 27.12. at the organized skill and jump kick camp. The camp was attended by belt ranks from 10th cup to 4th dan and the age range was 7-45 years. Still, despite the starting level, everyone learned a lot of new ways to use their body versatilely.

At the same time, Jenna Partanen and Teemu Heino have finished their preparations for the European Olympic qualifiers, which will be held on January 16-17. in Istanbul, Turkey. Go read Teemu's thoughts from here and liking Jenna's athlete page here! Sampo Pajulampi and Juho Ranta will also go on the trip as support troops. Juho works as the team's physiotherapist. Medals for taekwondo athletes from Porvoo

Good mood at the Porvoo Games

The team of taekwondo athletes collected medals of all colors from the match competitions in Porvoo on 10.10. In Porvoo, the junior and amateur series were played in the morning and the league series for all age groups in the afternoon.

In the morning, the Power Girls Aino, Sofia, Jenny and Sara cleaned the tables in their own sets. Aino played in three different series, taking a whopping eight matches, eight of which were victories. Thus, Aino has three gold medals and a well-deserved championship prize. Sofia and Jenny were superior in their own series, and the mutual battle was extremely tight until the end. However, Jenny took a longer stroke this time. Sara competed in two series, winning one and taking silver in the other.

The highlights of the afternoon's league series were Emmi's victories in both the cadet and junior series, as well as Eddie's dramatic battle with Nurmijärvi's Oskari Viinanen. Everyone seemed to be in the right mood for the match, and it's good to continue towards the Nurmijärvi Games.
