Taekwondo athletes have a wonderful balance from SM competitions

The top vibe and feeling propelled the athletes to great performances in the SC competitions

Taekwondo SM medals were fought for on Saturday 7.7. In Vantaa. The taekwondo athletes hunted for championships with a record-breaking team, both in the match and in the movement series. From the morning warm-ups, it was obvious that the team spirit was high and the athletes were in excellent shape. Individual athletes, events and moments of success could be mentioned countless times and all the honor to every athlete who stepped on the mat in Vantaa. Here, though Paul's a few highlights from the memorable moments of the day:

The amazing skills and versatility of the cadet athletes were eye-catching. Sedge, Aino and Sophia were skilled both in the movement series and in the match, and the performances were absolutely great. bella, Vickan's and Alex's it's a pleasure to follow the development curve, when in every race you get to see even more sure things to do. Plum's the physical fitness is at a high level, as evidenced by the Finnish championship in the cadet boys' series. Sara, Aino and Jenny cleared their way to become Finnish champions in the match and Sara also won gold from the movement series groups.

The juniors performed on the match mats with a good charge and a tough attitude. Severus and Alina fought to win every situation with determination. Also Emmi and Bardian the matches were tough and the matches were fought until the end with their own game. Charazed and Chaimaa took their series quite overwhelmingly. The juniors are currently in good shape both in the gym and in the competitions. The sets are also nice and tight, which is a great thing in terms of future development.

Christian's freestylepoomsae earned his place at the opening of YLEN's broadcast and we are waiting with interest to see what condition the man, as well as the Finnish freestyle five, will get himself in before the World Championships in Taiwan.

Laura appeared in SC competitions and in the role of athlete and coach in business series. Bringing home a silver and bronze medal, and of course many thanks for the coaching. Tara nicely took silver in both his individual series and group series. For Elina also silver in his own group series and fourth place in individuals.

Lasse and Tanya showed that you can start fighting for medals, even if your own taekwondo training no longer weighs heavily on active competitive training. It's a big bet for Lasse to register to compete in the fast-paced -58kg series, considering that Lasse has already competed in taekwondo in the 80s. Tanja, on the other hand, showed great will to fight by digging out a semi-final victory from a relatively big defeat with a determined and tactically great match. Even in the final, Tanja did an unprejudiced job, but this time she settled for silver.

From Jenna a great day and with two wins earned a place in the final recorded by YLE. A sad one-point loss in the final, though.

Checkmate showed how a determined para athlete can keep up with the speed of the WC and can seriously fight for victory.

Peter performed well as a commentator on YLE's television broadcast and as a helping hand in the business series field. Under once again handed out meritorious judgment on the match courts.

Congratulations to all the champions! All results can be found at the end of the story.
