Sophia Vassilaki is training in Greece in the summer. The first week passed Kiriakos Parasidis in the gym, under the guidance of assistant coach Haralambos Balaskas. The club's name is Peristeri and a large group of top Greek cadets and juniors train there, as the brightest star Stavroula Kontou, who took silver at last year's European Youth Championships in Zagreb.
”Really tough and talented girls who train hard. They just don't have money for international competitions. They had won gold in at least two categories in Bulgaria,” states Laura Vassilaki, after observing the training sessions for a week. Below are photos taken by Laura during training.
Next, Sophia will continue training on the island of Kos, where she started her training.
