Salikisa report April

In the penultimate indoor competition of the spring, 49 enthusiasts of different ages and sizes took the serious test. There were 46 matches this time.

The record-breaking team of taekwondo athletes won plenty of medals from the competitions held in Nurmijärvi on April 5. In the morning, the junior leagues were played, and in the afternoon, the adult hobbyists and the cadet, junior and adult league series. The competition gathered almost 400 contestants from Finland, Sweden and Estonia.

Play a fun game of TU11

Taekwondo athletes have released their own version of the popular 2048 game. The purpose of the game is to unearth eleven different pictures. The game is played with the computer's arrow keys, so it may not work on all mobile phones. With each arrow press, all picture boxes on the 4*4 playing field move in the direction indicated by the arrow as far as there is space. If two similar images are consecutive in the direction of movement, they combine into a new image. With each transfer to the field, a new image appears in a random place, which is - also randomly - either Petter's spaghetti or Sampo's sonnal Kumgang momtong maki, however, so that the spaghetti image appears many times more likely.

Kim Sinisalo was chosen as the new head coach of the match national teams

The Finnish Taekwondo Federation has chosen Kim Sinisalo, who coaches at the Taekwondo athletes' gym, as the new head coach of all national team groups. In the future, Kim will be responsible for the activities of the cadet, junior and adult national team groups. In practice, the coaching work will be done in cooperation with the youth Olympic coach Jarkko Mäkinen and the Olympic coach Jesús Ramal.

Kim Sinisalo is an experienced coach and he has worked as the head coach of the national team before. In the 2000 and 2004 Olympic Games, Kim was the coach of the Finnish team, being the only Finnish taekwondo coach in the Olympic Games. Kim has also coached Teemu Heino and Juho Kostiai as individual athletes.

Rule changes

19.3. significant rule changes were approved

The WTF General Assembly in Nanjing, China approved the following rule changes, guidelines and competition venues:

PRIME was chosen as the supplier of point and video checking systems at WTF events.

Rule changes

Electronic Head Protectors were approved and thus two types of races are organized, those where the system is in use, and those where it is not used
In order to make the match more active, the following rule changes were approved:

The maximum number of Kyungs is now 10 (5 points)
Kyong-go must be given if the fighter keeps the leg up without an attacking movement (kick)
Kyyon-go for the request to repair the guards is added to the rules (earlier warning about delaying the match) and Kyongo for requesting Video Replay is removed

In addition, changes were made to the poomses rules and the WTF rules. Mauritania was accepted as a member country of the WTF.
