We sweated and had fun at Junnuje's summer camp

GuaranteeIMG_1145b26 eager children and young people were able to practice taekwondo under the guidance of Paul and Tanja at the wondour players' summer camp. There were training sessions twice a day, and in them we delved into changing themes ranging from acrobatics to matches and from movement sequences to self-defense. Some of the riders got a fast-paced first contact with the sport. Between workouts, we spent time outdoors and excited about Kung-fu Panda's adventures. A tasty lunch was eaten at the lunch table of the cafe Corelli, and additional energy was refueled in the afternoon with a snack. Taekwondo athletes thank all campers.

You can visit the club for more pictures from facebook pages.

Salikis statistics for May

The indoor competitions in May did not gather as many enthusiasts as those of the last months. However, the level of the matches was high, and in general, the development curve is clearly rising. The monthly gym competitions will continue again in the fall, but you can also spar during the summer.

Junnu's summer camp is full

The summer camp aroused enthusiasm

Kesäkuun ensimmäisellä viikolla järjestettävä junnujen kesäleiri on kerännyt ilmoittautumisia yli odotusten. Nimiä listassa on jo yli 20, joten lisäilmoittautumisia ei enää voida ottaa vastaan. Jos kuitenkin olette ehtineet jo suunnitella kyseisen viikon menot kesäleirin pohjalta, mutta ette vielä ilmoittautuneet, olkaa yhteyksissä seuran ohjaajiin joko sähköpostitse (info@tu11.fi) tai paikan päällä salilla.

Those who registered will receive more detailed information about the camp via email at the end of this week.

We trained and had fun at the ski holiday camp

Ski holiday camp:

Taekwondo athletes practiced diligently twice a day at the ski vacation camp during the entire ski vacation week. The most diligent campers stayed kicking even during the evening exercises. Between workouts, we went for a treat at the lunch table of the cafe Corelli downstairs. There was still enough snow to get down to Kannelmäki. In addition, on Thursday we went to Kanneltalo to watch a movie.

Taekwondo athletes would like to thank all campers for a great week!

Taekwondo athletes at the Madrid camp

Taekwondo athletes in top training in Madrid

MadridTaekwondo athletes' representatives Tanja Lovikka, Kasper Wargelin, Eddie Quinones and Sara Quinones have spent the Christmas break training taekwondo at the international camp of Finland's Olympic coach Jesus Ramal in Madrid.

During the week, the TU11 team has received top-level instruction and plenty of match experience against international opponents. The camp has teams, e.g. From Spain, Italy and Mexico.

On Sunday, the camp culminated in a huge indoor competition, where the competitors gained competition experience against their own competitors. This is a good starting point for 2014, for which every camper in Madrid has already set both domestic and international goals.

Below are Sara and Eddie's poom skills and pictures from the camp:

Successful championships

1000px-Porin_coat-of-arms.svgThe Sm-kisat and the Pori Cup were a success

Taekwondo athletes match by match
Milla Väyrynen, SM – Cadets -37 Kg

In the first match, Milla fought Lotta Parta, who won the series. Lotta led the match until the last seconds, when Milla tied the match. In Sudden Death, Lotta would miss the head, but the judges gave the points. In the final, Partanen won 12-0 before full time. Bronze for Milla.

Kasper Wargelin, SM – Cadets -37 Kg

Kasper faced Santeri Helte, who knew how to reset Kassu's match well. Kassu couldn't make use of his best qualities and thus the defeat was a fact. Bronze for Kassu

Aaha Moullaev, SM – Cadets -53 Kg

Aaha was overweight for his series, but he competed above the series. Niko Saarinen was clearly better 21-4. Aaha gets bronze in the first cadet match.

Aleksi Väyrynen, SM – Cadets -41 Kg and SM – Youth -45 Kg

Aleksi had the same opponent in both series, Naantali's internationally experienced Keijo Soinio. In the first match, a good rhythm was already found, but the initial hesitation brought defeat. In the second match, the rhythm disappeared again and both sets won bronze.

Voker Feka, SM – Youth -63 Kg

Still a cadet, Voker debuted in the juniors, where the experienced Pessi Närhi was better. However, silver for Voker.

Tanja Lovikka, SM – Adults -49 Kg

Tanja couldn't find an opponent, so she took home the gold at the weigh-in.

Pauli Raivio, SM – Adults -68 Kg

Pauli I pressed the longest day of the whole team, when the final was the third match of the day. Henri Jutila fell in the first and Aleksi Nurisalo in the second. The final was exciting in advance, when Loviisa's Sami lahtinen faced off. Sami is a familiar opponent and training partner. The game was again decided by a questionable header, but one of the only international-level finals of the day was still a brilliant performance.

Petteri Kauppinen and Juho Kostianen SM – Adults -80 Kg

Gold for Juho and silver for Petter. In the first match, Petteri made a show of Wahid Ahmad. The second match also seemed to go great and Petteri pushed Juho hard.

Teemu Heino, SM – Adults +87 Kg

Teemu is still the number one big man in Finland. The match was relaxed and several physical difficulties did not prevent the final to be an overwhelming points victory. Teemu's 15th championship and a great display of the liberated match brought by the routine.

Megii Moullaev, D1 juniors -40 Kg

Megii played well at her level. The result is silver, which will surely brighten up in the near future.

The guardians are Sampo Pajulampi, Juho Ranta, Teemu Heino, Petteri Kauppinen, Juho Kostiainen and Pauli Raivio.
