Come join us in organizing the biggest taekwondo competition in Finland!
The games need a lot of volunteers to help with the arrangements.
In particular, we need for the race day:
- Russian experts - those with an organizer's card
- IT experts
- Brisk adults for various tasks in organizing meals, guiding the competitors and to the competition areas
In the Baltic Sea Cup, there will be a team invitational competition, where Finland will be represented by TU11 and a team assembled from Loviisa taekwondo.
The preliminary rounds are played man against man as normal matches, and the final is played under the rules of a team match.
Team:
-58 kg Toni Lahtinen, Loviisa Taekwondo
-68 kg Sami Lahtinen, Loviisa Taekwondo
-80 kg Juho Kostiainen, TU11
+80 Teemu Heino, TU11
At the beginning of September, TU11 took a big step forward when Pauli Raivio started as a paid coach and secretary in our club.
Natural selection
"Pauli's contribution has already been significant as an assistant director in our club before. When the workload has increased significantly as the club grows, we wanted to hire an employee to maintain the service level. Pauli was a natural choice, he has made an impression with his attitude and skills," states the club's vice president Sampo Pajulampi.
Overseeing and taking care of daily affairs
Paul's duties include guidance almost every day. In addition, taking care of daily affairs is a key set of tasks. The best way to contact Paul is by email pauli@taekwondourheilijat.fi or info@taekwondourheilijat.fi or by phone at 044 050 1890.
Master Muni's visit started yesterday and continues today.
A rather modest-sized group of enthusiasts was seen at the exercises. They were able to enjoy the training, where the basics were polished to the last detail.
"Nice training!", says Kasper Wargelin, the youngest participant of the training.
Korean Master Lee, who lives in Barcelona, also took part in the training.
Program today, Thursday 15.8.
17.00-18.30 Master Mun & instructors of Taekwondo athletes (€5)
19.00-20.30 Master Mun & instructors of Taekwondo athletes (€5)
We hope that all over 13-year-olds will participate in these trainings, which are really suitable for everyone. There are interesting things in knowledge, new things and deepening of what has already been learned.
Somewhat unexpectedly, we got the opportunity to bring the future head teacher of taekwondo festivals and a long-time taekwondo influencer, Master Mun Dong Kun, to the Hall of Taekwondo Athletes.
Master Mun will teach at our gym on Wednesday and Thursday of next week. We will modify the schedules of these days a little so that we can get to the master's teachings with the whole group.
Master Mun represents the generation that has spread taekwondo to the world, and this can also be seen in the master's own work. He has taken care not only of the quality of his teaching, but also of his own condition. The technology is still at the top level despite its age.
The master's exercises cost €5 per person/exercise. At this price, you rarely get to train in this level of teaching. The master's exercises are intended for our club's own enthusiasts.
Nothing but everyone eager to train and have fun. In Tieto, Takuu has an unforgettable training experience for participants. See you in training!
