Changes to the exercises of the movement series competition group

There will be small changes to the training calendar of the business series competition group starting this week. Tuesday's practices at 17:00-18:30 will be changed from a practice open to everyone to a closed practice intended for the club's own young competitors. Thursday's exercises at 17-18:30 will be changed from a self-paced exercise to a fully guided exercise and it will still remain open to everyone.

In the future, the Taekwondo athletes' own young competitors who have separately asked the coach responsible for the movement series, Heikki Liukko, will be allowed to participate in Tuesday's training sessions. The intention is to turn the training session into the young competitors' own practice, in which children who compete with goals up to the age group of cadets participate.

Until now, Thursday's practices have been semi-autonomous practices, where a coach has been present, but from this week on Thursdays, full service is on and the coach on Thursdays is usually Ville Lehtinen, or Skavi among the familiar.

Welcome to training!

The business league team is deafeningly efficient in Lohja

16 medals from the first business series competitions of the season

Lohja Open 2017 opened the competition season of domestic business series on Saturday 11.3. The games had a record number of participants and a total of 32 series were played. Of these, Taekwondo athletes were represented in 13 series, 16 of which won a medal. Officially, the best team was not awarded, but it's hard to say better!

From the ranking series, Plum got bronze for cadet boys as well as under 17-parwith Mia from the Espoo Hwarang Team. Aino and Sara competed with a special permit in the cadet series much younger than the others, but it seemed that age doesn't matter much by grabbing a double win in the series. Gold for Aino and silver for Sara. Bronze for Aino, Sara and EHT's Mia from the under 17 group. Bronze for Christian in both the under 30 men and the elimination series.

In the yellow women, Maija took silver, a really great performance from a first-timer! The minion trio Bella, Victoria and Sofia roared both among amateur women and among the lynx in their own age group. Gold for Bella in green women, green lynxes, lynx couples with Victoria and amateur group with Victoria and Sofia. Victoria also took gold from blue ladies and blue lynxes. Sofia took her lynx series as a warm-up and saved the bangs for the amateurs, from which the silver came off right after Victoria's gold. Bella and Victoria disturbed even more in the pairs of upper belts by taking silver there as well. The wild results and the number of sets speak once again about the effectiveness of the coaching activities and the athletes' goal-oriented approach to training. So thank you to the poomsa coaches, athletes and supporters!

Essi and Petteri acted as coaches in the competition.

A huge haul of trophies from the Ambassador's Cup

The Ambassador's Cup, organized for the second time, gathered taekwondo people to compete both in movement series and in a match in Vantaa's Tikkurila on November 12, 2016. Taekwondo athletes had a strong representation in both forms of competition, and we can be very satisfied with the day's performances.

Competitors at a good pace

The taekwondo athletes had no fewer than 29 representatives in the match series, so there was enough excitement for the whole day. The huge trophy haul shows that there were enough top moments and successes. A busy coach doesn't quite notice all the tricks, but at least Paul remembered Venne's gutsy three-win fight for a series win, Lauri's accurate spot-kicks, Iines' ferocious kicking power, Jenny's tremendous self-confidence, Janika's tactical skills, Plum's solid work ethic, Aleksi's will to win, Bardia's struggle against the Estonian hurray, and Jaden's , Markus and Kaisla's brave first contact on the national competition mats. Many other things also fell into place, and as said, one coach's eye is not enough to see everyone.

Sampo, Pauli, Juho, Riina, Petteri and Teemu were responsible for the coaching on the match side. The exchange of words between the coaches after the games was very positive. As the season draws to a close, many goals can already be considered fulfilled for the fall. Another big thank you from the coaching team to all the competitors and congratulations on your success!

An efficient and stylish team in the business series

The team of taekwondo athletes got in shape for competition under the treatment of the team's official stylist, Somporn Kopisto. The team was easily the most stylish of the games and there was no doubt about their efficiency. The coaches are Juho Ranta and Essi Labart. Of course, Essi managed to grab gold in both of his series before this. In general, the upswing of business series athletes that continued throughout the fall continued again at the Ambassador's Cup. Essi was satisfied and proud of the team's performance, and Juhokaa did not spare hyperbole in his later report.

The club and the coaching team congratulate the winners!

Janika Sophia  Hairstyle you guysplum

Special thanks to Subaru, who provided the team with subs at the end of the race! #hankssubaru

Autumn training times (updated 9 August)

The final touches to the autumn training calendar have been made. Changes were made on 9.8. for Wednesday, so that the competition group of the match would not have three late shifts in a row.

The autumn training calendar comes into effect on Monday 15.8. It has changed from the spring season calendar, not only in terms of practice times but also group divisions. The aim of the changes is to serve customers as comprehensively as possible, so that everyone can practice in a suitably sized group with fellow enthusiasts of the same age and level. A wide range of in-depth exercises guarantees the opportunity to develop at your own pace, whether the goal is in elite sports or personal development.
