Baby taekwondo starts!

baby taekwondoBaby Taekwondo

Baby aekwondo offers adults and babies a nice joint exercise moment. Participation does not require previous experience in self-defense and martial arts, but everyone is welcome to get to know baby taekwondo. During the lessons, we practice e.g. basic taekwondo kicks, punches and defenses, as well as exercises to strengthen muscle condition. The classes are designed so that all mothers and fathers, regardless of age, size and fitness, can participate.

The class consists of a light warm-up, technique and muscle fitness sections, and a stretching session. Although baby taekwondo is mainly aimed at adults, the baby is closely involved in almost all sections. When warming up and exercising, the baby is in the adult's lap and at the same time acts as a nice additional weight. When practicing taekwondo techniques, the baby can be placed next to the blanket for part of the time to follow the adult's exercises.

The class is best suited for babies older than 3 months who already know how to support their heads.

Time and place

Baby taekwondo starts on September 17. Classes are held on Tuesdays at 2:00 PM at the Taekwondo athletes' hall in Konala at Ruosilankuja 3, Helsinki. The exercises will continue until December 17, 2013.

Equipment

In addition to the normal exercise equipment, you should bring a towel or blanket on which you can lay the baby from time to time.

Supervisor

The instructor is Saija Sinisalo (1st dan) and her baby Vilppu born in April.

Payment

Participation can be paid either in one-time payments (€10), by buying a 6-time card (€50) or by paying a season fee (€98). The season fee covers all 14 practice sessions on September 17. – 17.12.

If the topic interests you and you need more information, send an e-mail to the instructor at saija.sinisalo@gmail.com. Enrollments are also handled in the same way.

WELCOME ABOARD!

At the taekwondo athletes match camp, approx. 40 trainers

TaekwondoKim Sinisalo and the instructors of TU11 got the enthusiasts going

The first workout was directed by Sampo Pajulampi and focused on movement and combining different techniques with it. In addition, hand-to-hand saves played a big role. Both kids and adults got themselves moving briskly in their own sessions.

In the second part, Kim Sinisalo directed a practice focused more on match situations. The new innovative exercises provoked thoughts and gave everyone a challenge.

The longest trip to the camp was made this time by Paimio's group of 5, led by their coach Mikko Yrjövuori. In addition, coaches from our own club were seen from Malmi, Riihimäki, Kerava, Vantaa, Espoo and Helsinki.
